Part 1: Pricing for Your Specific Items & Spaces

Let’s start with the details—getting an accurate price for all the unique items in your home.

Q: Do I need to schedule an on-site visit to get an estimate?

In 99% of cases, no. We can provide a precise and reliable estimate right over the phone based on a few details and photos. However, we are always happy to schedule a free on-site estimate for more complex residential jobs with numerous items, or for any large commercial projects. Our team is available for on-site visits Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Q: How much does it cost to clean a walk-in closet or a bench?

We have standard pricing for these common items to make it easy:

  • Walk-In Closet Carpet: $20

  • Upholstered Bench: $55

Q: What about smaller items, like dog beds or accent pillows?

We clean those, too!

  • Standard Dog Bed: $25 for steam cleaning. An enzyme-based pet odor treatment can be added for $20, for a total of $45.

  • Accent Pillows: $6 per pillow. (Note: This is for decorative pillows that don’t match your couch. Any pillows that came with your sofa are included in the sofa cleaning price!)

Q: How do you price staircase landings and runners?

  • Landings: The price is $8 for a landing on an in-house staircase and $20 for a landing in a common building staircase.

  • Runners: The price is based on length. If your runner is under 10 feet long, the price is $35. For runners over 10 feet long, the price is $55.

Q: How much is it to clean my mattress?

The price depends on the size. To give you an accurate quote, we’ll just need to know if it’s a Twin, Full, Queen, or King.

Part 2: Clarifying Our Pricing Rules

 

Sometimes our chatbot needs a little help with the details. Here are a few key clarifications on pricing for larger items to ensure you always get an accurate quote.

Q: How is an oversized area rug priced? My 15×13 rug isn’t on the price list.

This is a great clarifying question! Our pricing for oversized rugs (any rug larger than 120 sq. ft.) follows a simple formula:

  • A base price of $95, which covers the first 120 sq. ft.

  • An additional charge of $1 for each square foot over 120.

Let’s use your 15×13 ft. rug as the perfect example:

  1. Total Size: 15 ft x 13 ft = 195 sq. ft.

  2. Overage: 195 sq. ft. – 120 sq. ft. = 75 sq. ft.

  3. Final Price: $95 (base) + $75 (overage) = $170

Q: My L-shaped sectional has attached bottom cushions but removable back cushions. Is that the lower price?

To simplify things, our rule is this: if any cushions on your sectional are removable (whether they are seat cushions or back cushions), it falls under the “removable cushion” pricing. For an L-shaped sectional, that price is $215.

Q: How do you classify a sectional that is L-shaped but also has a chaise lounge attached?

Another excellent classification question. A sectional with that configuration (e.g., a sofa piece + a corner piece + a chaise) is considered a U-shaped sectional for pricing purposes.

Q: Can you clean my basement carpet that was in a flood?

In cases of flooding, our honest and expert advice is to contact a professional water restoration company first. Flooded carpet padding acts like a sponge and is nearly impossible to dry properly with cleaning equipment alone. Not addressing it correctly may lead to mold, mildew, and health hazards. A restoration specialist has the proper tools to remove and replace the padding, treat the area with an antibacterial solution, and ensure your home is safe.

Q: I’m allergic to scents. Do you have a fragrance-free option?

Yes, we absolutely have a fragrance-free cleaning solution and are happy to use it by request. However, we believe in full transparency: our equipment is used for jobs with standard, scented products. While we thoroughly flush the system, we cannot guarantee the 100% elimination of trace amounts of fragrance. If you have a severe sensitivity, this is an important factor to consider.

Q: Can you clean watermarks off my couch?

It depends on the fabric. If your couch is made of microfiber or a suede-like material, the chances of removal are very high. On many other fabric types, however, watermarks can set in a way that makes them difficult or even impossible to remove with cleaning.

Q: What types of rugs can’t you clean?

To protect your investment, we do not clean hand-tufted wool rugs or any handmade area rugs. These delicate items require specialized, often off-site, cleaning methods that fall outside our area of expertise.

Q: Does tile and grout need time to dry after cleaning?

Nope! Your tile and grout floors are ready for immediate use as soon as we are finished.

Q: Is the carpet/upholstery protector you offer a “green” product?

This is a question we love because it allows us to be completely honest. The answer is no. Currently, there is no protector on the market that is both effective and environmentally friendly. For this reason, we generally do not recommend it.

A protector’s main benefit is to give you a few extra minutes to blot a spill before it soaks in. It does not make fabric stain-proof. In our professional opinion, the high cost and misunderstood protection qualities often outweigh these limited benefits.
